Good report, except for some glaring errors. Charlton were second at no point today. Southampton started the day 2nd, Huddersfield moved up thanks to their lunchtime win over Wednesday, and the Saints reclaimed it by beating Dagenham. Also, Charlton are 5th, not 3rd.

I went with some Brighton supporting mates to their match at the Valley last year, and you’ve nailed the mood of the home fans right on. They’re very quick to get on their team’s back when things aren’t going well.

I really think your report was spot on. It has to be said, Charlton turned us over at the County Ground with ease. I suppose revenge is sweet, but this great result will mean nothing if we don’t put a good run together now.

Good report apart from the obvious errors.
The atmosphere at the Valley has been poisonous for quite some time now. Started back when Pardew was at the helm. Parkinson was not the majority of the fans choice as he was part of the team that got us into the mess. Some of us had faith and think he was (up until 2pm today) doing a decent job. 90% new squad compared to last season, currently in the play offs, 3 points off of automatic promotion. People seem to forget that we are a L1 club with a L1 manager with a L1 budget and L1 players. We are not going to be passing like Arsenal or powering like Chelsea.
The fans have been very very quick to get on the team and Parkinsons back as soon as there is a misplaced pass or poor shot. It has been getting to a stage where people seemed to be turning up just to boo the team and have a go. Nearly every game of late there has been arguments between Charlton fans, pro Parky and anti Parky.
Obviously all come to an end today which is a shame as only two months ago he won manager of the month. I think he can leave here with his head held high. Hopefully he does well and isn’t out of management too long.

Just got to hope we don’t get Jiminez best friend, a certain horrible short man called Wise.
