		<description>The reason Pompey are celebrating 110 years is because the club didn&#039;t get to celebrate it&#039;s centenary as it was in administration at the time. It just goes to show how far the club has come in those last 10 years from a club that couldn&#039;t afford to wash the players jock straps to one which now boasts 6 current England internationals and currently hold the FA Cup.

One point missed on here is that Pompey&#039;s unique blue shirts, white shorts &amp; red socks is being replaced by an all blue strip for this season. The club say it&#039;s for one year only - lets hope so, as the fans have not taken well to this change.</description>
